If you would like to build muscle mass and have larger muscles while feeling great, you need to focus on three basic exercises that will build mass, increase conditioning, and increase strength. These exercises are the squats, bench press, and deadlifts.

When trying to build muscle mass quickly, smaller is better. Smaller sets with more weight will add muscle more quickly than longer sets. Between 8-12 repetitions for each set is about the ideal. Give your body plenty of rest between workout routines to allow the body to heal. Muscle is actually built as the muscles heals during rest.

Make sure to get an ample amount of sleep each night. Your muscles need time to repair themselves after you strain them during weight lifting sessions. If you do not allow the muscles to rest enough, it can lessen the results that you see from your weight lifting efforts dramatically.
